Raised on a ranch at the southern gateway to the Pacific Northwest, Jonathan West (JW for short) brings a little dust, a little ice, a little swing, and a whole lot of energy to your afternoons on South Sound Country 96.9 KAYO-FM. He's a hockey and soccer goalie, golf coach, and Puget Sound PA announcer spending years behind microphones from rinks to arenas to festivals—and now keeping you company from 2–7 pm with the perfect mix of stories, laughs, and country favorites.
When he’s not on-air, you’ll probably find him at the Shelton drive-in, trying his luck at the casino in Nisqually, or swapping wild tales from his time working the NASCAR circuit in 2019. JW is all about celebrating the South Sound, cheering on local events, and making every afternoon feel like a good day to roll the windows down (even in the rain) and turn KAYO Country up!
