RIVERVIEW, Fla. — A video capturing a daring feat by a 19-year-old social media influencer has sparked concerns after he climbed a cell phone tower in Florida, risking his life for online fame, authorities said.

Trent Degulis was arrested late Saturday in Riverview for scaling the tower, reportedly in a bid to capture the sunset. WTSP, a local news outlet, reported that Degulis reached an estimated height of 1,600 feet, as seen in police night-vision footage released Monday. However, it's important to note that cell towers generally max out at about 400 feet, leaving officials uncertain about the exact height of his climb.

In bodycam footage released by law enforcement, an officer is heard inquiring if Degulis made it "all the way to the top-top." The teenager explained to deputies that he climbs tall structures to share on social media, according to a spokesperson from the sheriff's office.

Degulis faces charges of misdemeanor trespassing following the incident. He was released from county jail on a $500 bond the following day.
