NASHVILLE, Tenn.  — Luke Combs, one of country music's reigning hitmakers, achieved a historic milestone on the Billboard Country Airplay chart dated Sept. 9. His single "Love You Anyway" ascended to the No. 1 position, marking it his 17th song to clinch the top spot.

In a surprising turn, his rendition of Tracy Chapman's iconic "Fast Car" also holds its ground, settling at the No. 2 spot. This chart-topping event is unparalleled in the chart's more than 30-year run, with no artist having previously secured the top two spots with different solo tracks.

The North Carolina native's consistent performance in the charts is noteworthy. To date, all 17 singles he's released have found their way to No. 1 on country radio stations. While 16 have topped the Country Airplay chart, every single one has dominated the Mediabase country chart.

Combs' continual success underscores his significance in the modern country scene, as he consistently delivers chart-topping tracks.
