If you feel stressed, congrats… you’re normal. But according to a new study, some U.S. cities are basically running on cold brew, cortisol, and pure survival mode.

A report from Compare the Market ranked the most “stressed-out, burned-out, and anxious” cities in America by analyzing stress-related internet searches tied to work — things like burnout, anxiety, and how to deal with job pressure.

And the cities topping the charts? Let’s just say the vibes are… tense.

AMERICA’S MOST STRESSED-OUT CITIES (STUDY RANKING)

    1. Atlanta

    2. Seattle

    3. San Francisco

    4. Denver

    5. Boston

    6. Las Vegas

    7. Washington, D.C.

    8. Baltimore

    9. Kansas City

    10. Portland, Oregon

Seattle, for example, landed at No. 2 — with the study noting thousands of anxiety-related searches per 100,000 residents, plus nearly 5,000 searches for “stress relief” over the past year.

So yeah… if you’ve been staring at your inbox like it’s a live grenade? You’re not alone. In some cities, that’s basically the local culture.
