    Scherler Sundays is flipping the music festival format on its head. By being funded nearly entirely through grants and sponsors, the non-profit Free Music Olympia is able to offer nine ABSOLUTELY FREE and ALL AGES shows in the heart of Downtown Olympia, in a parklet behind the historic Carnegie Library (7th Ave SE and Franklin). Food and beverages available on-site. All shows start at 3pm unless otherwise noted.

    SUNDAY, JULY 5 at 3pm
    Kusikia
    Urgent Tacoma post-punk legends re-emerge as a trio for their first downtown Olympia appearance in over a decade.

    IROIRO
    Led by founding members of 1990s trip-hop titans IQU, delivering theremin-and-synth-driven grooves deemed by The Stranger as "Seattle's best rock band."

    Moth Logic
    Angular, dissonant, lockdown-born analog post-punk from Unwound founding member Brandt Sandeno making their series debut.

    The Neighborhood Kids
    High-energy Gen-Z Mexican-American immigrant hip-hop collective traveling from San Diego to unleash a powerful boom-bap explosion championing social justice.

    OLYMPIA MUSIC HISTORY PROJECT SHOWCASE
    Special Event Note: This particular date is an expanded festival-within-a-festival running from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Alongside the music, the block will host a bustling community bazaar featuring dozens of local craft and food vendors.

    The Blow: Khaela Maricich and Melissa Dyne bring their electro-pop performance art back to home turf for their first major Olympia appearance in nearly two decades.

    Calamity Jane: Formed in 1988 and key trailblazers of the Riot Grrrl movement, founding members reunite for their first performances in 35 years.

    C Average: Olympia's premier garage-prog face-melters celebrating 30 years by recreating their historic, turn-of-the-century KAOS live radio set.

    Tall Toad: The prominent 1990s Yelm rock-and-roll machine takes the stage for their first public performance since 1999.

    The Mona Reels: Celebrating 25 years of hook-heavy indie pop with instant classics from their upcoming double album.

    Chris "Sandman" Sand: Deep-hearted cowboy poet blending humor, hip-hop, and country to address social ills.

    Witchypoo: A decade-spanning conceptual art spectacle resurrected from the 1990s by founder Slim Moon with an unpredictable, sprawling lineup.

    The Rumba Madre
    High-octane Latinx punk band from Nashville/Bay Area tearing through a hyper-stylized tour of global Latin history.

    Arrington DeDionyso's Malaikat Dan Singa
    Legendary No-Wave/post-punk combo intersecting Gamelan and dancehall rhythms to unleash your inner dragon.

    The BeeHees
    Returning Moroccan-fronted ensemble blending Casablanca blues and traditional guembre instrumentation with local heavy hitters, sung in Darija Arabic.
