A Lecture on MLK Jr at SPSCC
Lakewood
The City of Lakewood will honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the MLK Beloved Community Celebration on Thursday, Jan. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pierce College Fort Steilacoom. Designed to offer something for all ages, the evening features dynamic performances, hands-on workshops, and a keynote address by Dr. John Scott. Family-friendly activities include free face painting, balloon art, dream board creation, and a collaborative community quilt, along with a student art show, library displays, civil rights video screenings, and a complimentary dinner.
