Chick Rose School of Bluegrass Kids Workshop
Saturday 10am – 12pm: Intensive workshop led by Stacey Harnew and her crew – gather on Saturday. Meet front of main stage.
The Chick Rose School of Bluegrass is a very special program for kids who want to play bluegrass music. Founded by Chick Rose, who passed away in 2012, it lives on in his memory and in the music of the many children who participate.
The program begins on Saturday morning at 10am and goes until noon. Children are divided into small groups according to their musical ability and are coached by advanced musicians. The program culminates in a special short performance of all the kids on Saturday evening on the main stage, There is no extra charge for the kids to be in this program – let’s fill the stage with kids!
Midnight on Saturday night – free with festival admission
Location will be announced and signs will be posted
What could be better than free hotdogs at midnight at a festival? It’s pretty great. You probably ate like, five or six hours earlier, you still have a good four hours of jamming to put in. You need sustenance. Bring on the free hotdogs! Maybe a jam will get started right there. You just never know.
Saturday Night Country Dance
Join us on Saturday night of the festival for a country dance hosted by the BarK Buckaroos. The dance begins after the main stage performances end on Saturday night. And since you will have burned a few calories, head over to the barbecue pit for our (in)famous Midnight Hotdogs!
Admission is free with your your festival wristband (weekend pass or day pass) or only $10.00 without. The dance location will be announced at the festival and there will be signs posted.
Jamming in the campground!
