2019 Annual Health Fair

The theme this year is “Protect Your Health & Wealth” so in conjunction with that theme, Roo Lan has partnered this year with the Office of the Secretary of State to present information we all need to know!
For protection from charitable scams and various types of fraud schemes, the first Keynote speaker will be Teresa Glidden of the Secretary of State’s office will be providing an Introduction to Consumer Protection Washington and the GiveSmart program at 10 am.  Later in the morning Elena Huizar from the Attorney General’s Office presents on Protecting and Educating Seniors as well as services available to seniors.  The final speaker will be Chuck Harwood of the Federal Trade Commission, Northwest Office, at 1:15 pm, who will speak on Identity Theft, Robo Calls, Mail Scams and more!
    In between the main speakers, breakout classroom sessions will be available from Providence Hospice with “Five Wishes”, Advanced Health Care will educate on the differences between  Home Health and Home Care and Lifetime Legal’s Heidi Magaro shares what we need to know from a legal standpoint.  There will be time to stop by and visit with the over 30 businesses that have planned to be present,  providing a wide variety of resources and information on everything from financial preparedness to specialized medical care (such as orthopaedic issues and medical devices) to senior living options.
